At KLN, our mission is to combine the extensive knowledge and quality control normally seen in the largest firms, with the street-smart, proactive and entrepreneurial attitude of a trusted advisor. Kamler, Lewis and Noreman, LLP was founded in 1987. The partners of KLN started their careers in both international and national accounting firms, which were great training grounds for high quality, sophisticated work in very complex client environments. However, it was our ultimate desire to create a firm focused on client advocacy with strategic, value-added emphasis. A firm, built one client at a time, based on relationships and trust.
KLN’s Tax Department is a reflection of who we want to be to our clients. As we see it, our role is to: (1) keep our clients safe; (2) comply with the spirit of the tax regulations; and (3) fight for every tax-savings dollar, utilizing everything in our “knowledge tool kit”. Many of the largest accounting firms call their tax departments the “Tax Compliance Division”. In our experience, that is exactly what you get. Accurate, error-free tax returns without much creativity or optimization. This is not who we are or why we chose to create this firm.
Common comments we hear from prospective clients sound something like: “My accountant has no imagination; gives little advice; never shows interest in reducing my tax liability; and seems like they work for the IRS more than they work for me.” Does this sound familiar? Our Assurance Division has skilled experts representing large, complex entities in diverse businesses including broker dealers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and manufacturing just to name a few. We have made our mark by performing “Big Four” level audits without the disruption, inefficiency and bureaucracy often encountered on large engagements.

Managing Partner
Ron is the strategic leader of KLN’s professional operations and the prime visionary of the firm’s future growth and evolution. During different periods in Ron’s 30+ years at KLN, he has been both the Partner in Charge of Taxation and later, the Partner in Charge of Audit. This provides a fairly unique technical and managerial perspective in maintaining the highest standard of quality and efficiency within the firm. Having grown the firm from the ground up, Ron has technical proficiencies in virtually every industry listed on this website. Ron is a graduate of Queens College of The City University of New York, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the New York State Society of CPAs, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Founding Partner
Gary has decades of experience servicing the tax needs of a large group of diverse businesses and high net worth individuals. In addition, he has particular expertise in coaching clients as to optimal accounting practices to yield the most useful information for management decisions and financial reporting. Gary is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and the New York State Society of CPAs. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and holds a Master’s in Taxation from City University of New York.
